Lead the Pack with the Latest "Buzz" about Domination Marketing!
Building a monster business involving Search Engine Optimization, Social Media and Branded Video Marketing is a time consuming task. A labor of love? Yes! It is a blast making other people’s dreams come true by maximizing their virtual business model.
The challenge for me is attending to my clients’ needs while staying on the edge of an information flow that is literally moving at the speed of thought. Chris Brogan talks about Attention being Currency in today’s business world. Time management is an ever growing issue with folks running at the front of a virtual medium. Chris and people who comment on his blog talk about task / time allotments to stay on track for the day. Attention can be grabbed and priceless time stolen if you don’t have a plan of attack.
I have developed an information stream that works for me. I suggest you develop one for you. All of these tools are free and I prefer those that work in the cloud so they are accessible to me in and out of the office.
I set up an igoogle home page with widgets that suit me best. I use Manymoon calendar and project planner with my Google Apps calendar for my daily tasks and projects. I monitor my RSS feeds from this home page.
As for Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, I connect all of them with Hootsuite. The keyword, search and statistics function in Hootsuite make it a valuable tool for monitoring topics and doing research on most any subject. The RSS and Hootsuite keep me awash in an information stream that is more like a torrent than a stream. I grab what I can and shoot what I like over to Evernote for safekeeping and sorting until I set aside the time for more in-depth look into whatever it is that I am looking for.
All in the cloud, all free and all functional to make even the Information ADD business owner somewhat together…..

Why Blog? This is a question I was asked yesterday and have been asking myself as I learn more and more about social media and how to apply it. The question is often posed, not usually by itself, but in a bundle of "why’s".
Why do I need to Facebook if I use Twitter? Why do I need to use Linked In if I Facebook? What’s Digg anyway? All are excellent questions. In answering this series of questions, I ask a question. ( Don’t ya hate it when somebody answers a question with a question? That’s a topic for another blog entry)
The real question is , " What are you trying to accomplish ? " And of course this one question leads to many others in search of the answer. Are you keeping up or reconnecting with friends and family? Are you building a business? Raising money for a charity? Gathering information on a topic? You have to know your "why" to know your "how" which answers your "why". Got it? Good!
Mashable.com has at least 10 good articles on blogging for starters that might even help you figure out what your reason for participating in any social media platform is as well as which one(s) to choose. Blogging is a bit larger venue for one to showcase knowledge, products, ideas and opinions. It is also a better place for more indepth comments from readers.
I have started blogging for many reasons, to learn, to share, to implement a strategic business tactic and to solicit feedback which I hope someday will come in the form a of a comment below! ( Thanks mom but you don’t have to comment )
That’s my thoughts … what do you think?

I was talking with our VP of Sales, Scott Augustine, about the integration of social media into big business and the challenges of changing the old marketing mindset. While Blueagle Market is young in years, all of us here have battles scars from living lives in search of the “better way” and being soldiers of that fight. Once again we have circled the army around the walls of Jericho, shouting, clanging and making all sorts of noise in an effort to bring old paradigms to the ground.
One of the surprises of this battle is that our fellow Social Media advocates are not only in it to win it but are in it in relative unity. The transparency that a huge corporation has to work so hard to develop through social media, is inherent to those developing it. Never before have we seen an arena of business where the competition rushes new information not only to its clients but to the public forum for mass consumption. Just like I am writing about Scott’s revelation and giving him the credit, our “virtual” counterparts are quick to offer their knowledge and tools for the good of the group.
When I go to Slideshare I am blown away by the fresh new presentations that people have spent time and money creating. Then I find that it’s set out there for me to learn from and use… FREE! This especially makes me happy because I don’t have one artistic fiber in me and our graphics team is too busy for me! Hootsuite and their Analytics, Google Apps and Analytics, Evernote, and UBer Twitter all give me the tools, while publications like Mashable, Tech Crunch and others give me the knowledge.
Kudos to the pioneers of the virtualization revolution who started these trends years ago! The rest of the World should sit up and take note , we would have a much happier Earth.
The team at Blueagle Marketing is exciting about making our contributions both individually and collectively. Taking the hill and crushing the paradigms….
